CES Launches CloudBase3 & Accompanying Website to Target Cloud Providers

Next year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) will have a special area devoted specifically to cloud computing, along with a companion website, CloudBase3.com.

This is interesting news, if not exactly surprising. Given the recent proliferation of cloud-based applications, it makes sense that CES has developed a special offering for cloud providers, who are undoubtedly looking for ways to stand out amid heavy competition. CloudBase3 exhibitors will also get a listing on the CloudBase3.com website, which will catalogue cloud options to help companies compare and choose cloud products and services.

Although the website has not officially launched yet, CloudBase3.com has posted this PDF of packages ranging from $6,800 to $15,600.

On an unrelated note, I must say I love this line from the press release: “…a more secure, scalable, cost-effective business whose data can be accessed from any device, anytime, anywhere.” Sound familiar? This line could be pulled from a number of cloud-related news announcements I’ve seen recently.  Looks like it’s time to find a new way to describe cloud products and services!

Editors’ note: After this post was published, a CloudBase3.com representative replied to a message  we’d left earlier in the day regarding whether non-CloudBase3 exhibitors could get a listing on the web directory. Apparently, it is in fact possible for non-CloudBase3 exhibitors to get a listing on CloudBase3.com.  Visit CloudBase3.com and email the appropriate sales contacts for more information.

  1. You DO NOT need to be CES exhibitor to become part of CloudBase3.com. We welcome inquiries about the Web site alone.
